David C. Larson

David Larson is Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Business Development, Deere & Company, a position he has held since September 2012. He is responsible for corporate strategy and business development activities, including strategy development and implementation and mergers and acquisitions. Larson and his team also work with the division business development groups to develop strategies for achieving the company's 2018 aspirations.
Larson joined John Deere in 1977 in corporate engineering. He held positions of increasing responsibilities in manufacturing and product engineering areas, including plant manager, general manager, and division vice president in the turf and agricultural divisions. Larson was appointed Global Director, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality, Deere & Company in 2001.
Larson was named Managing Director for the Russian Federation and Director of Product Supply for the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in 2008. His work earned him the "American Businessman of the Year" recognition in Russia in 2011.
Larson has a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of William and Mary in Virginia. He also earned an MBA in finance and a degree in engineering from the University of Iowa.
