Marie Z. Ziegler is the Deputy Financial Officer for Deere & Company, a position she's held since January 2013. Ziegler is responsible for the oversight and execution of the company's investor relations, treasury and pension fund and investment operations.


Ziegler joined Deere & Company in 1978 as a consolidation accountant and has held management positions in finance, treasury operations, strategic planning and investor and banking relations. In May 2001 she was appointed Vice President, Investor Relations for Deere & Company. Ziegler was named to her previous role, Vice President and Treasurer for Deere & Company, in November 2010.


A native of Moline, Illinois, Ziegler graduated from St. Ambrose University in 1978 with a bachelor's degree in accounting. She earned CPA accreditation in 1979 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa in 1985.


Ziegler is on the boards of QCR Holdings, Inc. (Moline, Illinois), Quad City Bank & Trust, and Two Rivers YMCA (Moline, Illinois). She is also a member of the University of Iowa's College of Business Board of Visitors. Ziegler is a past member of the Unified Growth Strategy Committee of the Illinois Quad City Chamber of Commerce, and previously served on the boards of Trinity Regional Health System, Trinity Medical Center and United Way of the Quad Cities, Inc. She's also a past member of the boards of the Girl Scouts of the Mississippi Valley, Inc., and Deere & Company Credit Union. She chaired the United Way of the Quad Cities' 2003 campaign, and in 2006 received the Athena Business Women's Award from The Women's Connection in Moline, Illinois.
