A great company is also a great citizen. Throughout our history, John Deere has embraced the understanding that we have a responsibility to support and enrich the quality of life in communities where we live and work.
Established in 1985, the John Deere Foundation of Canada serves as John Deere's philanthropic arm.
Through each of the John Deere Foundation of Canada and corporate contributions, employee efforts and sponsorships, we work to make lasting improvements to our world and the lives of people everywhere.
John Deere has always been mindful of its responsibility to contribute to the communities where its employees live and work – John Deere himself was a community leader and philanthropist.
Today John Deere's philanthropic presence is growing around the world as we focus on fewer but more impactful alliances and engage employees as volunteers. Through these efforts, we will create real and lasting outcomes for the greatest number of people.
Today, John Deere Canada's philanthropic activities focus on three main areas:
• Education - accredited colleges and universities
• Community Betterment - community development, human services, and arts and culture
• Health - support healthcare to improve the health and well being of our local communities
About John Deere
Since its founding in 1837, John Deere has seen a great many changes in its business, its products, its services. Change always comes with opportunity. And Deere has always been ready and willing to embrace it. Yet, through it all, John Deere is still dedicated to those who are linked to the land – farmers and ranchers, landowners, builders. And Deere has never outgrown, nor forgotten, its founder’s original core values: integrity, quality, commitment and innovation.
