Deere & Company Applauds Russia's Accession to WTO; Urges Swift Congressional Passage of Permanent Normal Trade Relations

Moline, Illinois (November 10, 2011) – Deere & Company said today that it welcomes the successful conclusion of years-long negotiations leading to Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization.


"Having Russia as a member of the WTO will significantly enhance the overall business climate in the country, provide a significant long-term boost to its trading posture, and facilitate its economic growth overall," said Samuel R. Allen, chairman and chief executive officer of Deere.


"We appreciate the efforts of the U.S. Administration in successfully completing these important negotiations. We now strongly encourage the U.S. Congress to quickly take the necessary actions to accord permanent normal trading relation status to the Russian Federation."
