Big things are happening for your small grains at John Deere. With our latest additions to equipment and openers, you can stretch your productivity even more. John Deere seeding solutions provide the next-generation performance you need to help you reach the full potential of each seed.
Now you can superseed your expectations with the all-new 60-foot 1895 Air Drill. You’ll see right away our new 1895 Air Drill is bigger than before – a full 40-percent wider – with a frame strong enough to pull our C850 Air Cart and two anhydrous tanks. That means you can seed an extra 100-plus acres in a 10-hour day. In other words, you can seed an entire quarter-section with nine fewer passes to superseed your productivity.
We’ve saved you a ton of time by eliminating weekly maintenance. With ProSeries, you grease just one zerk per opener per season. That’s it. That means more time for more productive tasks in the field.
When you’re seeding, accuracy is everything. You can expect more consistent seed depth, improved seed-to-soil contact and uniform emergence with ProSeries, thanks to its narrow seed boot and press wheel. We designed the seed boot to fit tighter to the disc to help keep soil in place. We’ve also replaced the bolt with a new flag pin to keep the boot from moving to improve accuracy and reduce wear.
With our C850 Air Cart, for example, you can count on exceptional accuracy. At 850-bushels, it can accurately cover 170 acres per fill and easily seed an entire quarter section. We didn’t purposely design the C850 to be the largest cart in the market, but something even better – the most favorable balance between cart, tractor, tool size and precision ag technology. That balance means less weight, less horsepower needed, reduced compaction and even emergence.
For a truly high-performance seeding experience, pair the C850 with the 76-foot (23-m) 1870 Air Hoe Drill behind the 9620RX, our most powerful tractor. Its wider 76-foot frame delivers a significant upgrade in productivity in acres covered – plus, something that can’t be measured in feet and inches. That’s its agronomics. For this model, John Deere offers an 1870 Hoe-Drill Opener featuring hydraulic precision depth control for placing seed and fertilizer. Its unique design allows for very minimal soil disturbance. Combining inline and separate, adjustable seed placement with side-banded fertilizer provides precision depth control and seed and fertilizer placement.
Or for no-till applications, choose the 1890 Air Drill available in six widths up to 60 feet (18.3 m). It features a workhouse 90 Series Row No-Till Opener that cuts through residue in tough no-till conditions. By placing each seed in the ground with consistent depth and seed-to-soil contact, it helps assure your crop emerges uniformly across the field.
Now you can adjust downforce on the go to put you in control of uniform emergence in just about all field conditions. If you can raise emergence by just a few percentage points, you can directly take that percentage increase off your canola or wheat seed costs.
This feature gives you a better view of what’s happening from the cart to the opener to help you spot any problems before any potential blockage occurs. An easy-to-read display clearly shows the relative product flow across the drill from opener to opener.
With its dual fan system, you get twice the fan capacity than before to deliver your product across the full width of the tool. This has the capacity to deliver enough fertilizer for 100 percent of the fertility needed for a 50-bushel canola crop at seeding.
Now you can monitor machine fuel levels, location history, receive alerts and even view the in-cab display remotely. Your dealer can also monitor alerts as well as diagnose problems or update software remotely to get you back up and running. And if you do need a service call, this ensures that the dealer can bring the right tools and parts to the field.
Delivers the framework you need to let you document and better visualize agronomic and performance data. Now available without a subscription with compatible hardware.
