Five pieces of John Deere Construction equipment were named to Construction Equipment Magazine's 2015 Top 100 New Products list — the 1050K Dozer, 9R/9RT Scraper Tractors, Ejector Scrapers, 300G LC Excavator and L-Series Backhoes.

Compiled based on editors' reviews and nominations, the Top 100 awards are designed to recognize the top equipment of the year based on advances in technology, new product lines, significant improvements to existing products and increasing competition in the field.

"This recognition from Construction Equipment is a testament to the hard work put in by every John Deere employee and customer who is involved in the product development process," said Robert White, Director of Worldwide Product Marketing and Planning, John Deere Construction & Forestry. "These awards highlight our focus of delivering productivity, uptime and lower daily operating costs that customers expect from John Deere equipment."

More on the winners:

1050K Dozer

The 1050K crawler dozer is the largest, most powerful dozer ever built by John Deere. Utilizing years of research and extensive customer feedback, the 1050K offers the durability, reliability, and productivity needed for mining, quarrying, road building, and other large-scale applications. The 1050K incorporates an EPA Final Tier 4/ EU Stage IV PowerTech™ diesel engine with 350 hp (261 kW). The Eco Mode feature optimizes fuel economy while maintaining ground speed by automatically adjusting engine speed and transmission settings based on load, with the potential to reduce fuel consumption up to 25 percent.

9R/9RT Scraper Tractors

The John Deere 9R/9RT Scraper Special Series tractor range now includes the company's largest model to date, the 9620R. Both the four models of wheeled tractors and three models tracked tractors in the range have increased horsepower and feature the company's Efficiency Manager for enhanced fuel efficiency and HydraCushion suspension system.

Ejector Scrapers

John Deere updated its ejector scraper line-up and added two-tire options for the 2010E and 2412E, bringing the total to 6 D-series ejector scrapers. The 1612DE, 2010DE, 2014DE, and 2412DE now have larger capacities, lower operating costs, and faster cycle times.

300G LC Excavator

The 300G LC excavator replaces the 290G LC and delivers 19 percent more horsepower, 17 percent more swing torque, and larger hydraulic pumps than its predecessor. It features a 223-horsepower Tier 4-Final John Deere PowerTech PVS 6.8L engine with SCR and a DPF.

L-Series Backhoe Loaders

The L-Series lineup boasts six new dynamic and efficient models – the 310L EP, 310L, 310SL, 310SL HL, 315SL and 410L. The 310SL HL heavy-lift backhoe is a prime example of implementing customer feedback. It’s a new addition to the 14 foot dig depth lineup that boasts significantly more craning capability at the push of a button. Along with the 410L, the 310SL HL can deliver up to 25 percent more backhoe-lift capacity under normal conditions than comparable K-Series models. Utilizing the sealed-switch module (SSM), operators can get an additional 10-15 percent boost under normal conditions through the new Lift Mode feature.
