John Deere Expands Self-Repair Solutions in Canada

GRIMSBY, Ontario (June 12, 2024) – John Deere (NYSE: DE) announced today expanded availability of its enhanced self-repair solution through the Equipment Mobile app enabling customers in Canada to remotely download secure software updates directly to embedded controllers on compatible 4G-connected John Deere equipment. In addition, the company announced expanded availability for Canadian customers and independent repair providers to purchase Customer Service ADVISOR directly from John Deere, in addition to availability through John Deere dealers.

Using their John Deere Operations Center™ account, John Deere customers operating compatible 4G-connected machines can use the enhanced solution to complete secure software updates directly to an embedded controller through a user-friendly interface using the Equipment Mobile app.

This feature gives John Deere customers in Canada the ability to keep compatible controllers on their compatible 4G-connected equipment up to date with the latest software releases. These updates can include enhancements and general improvements to generate a better equipment experience.

Customer Service ADVISOR enables John Deere customers to diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform most equipment repairs. With the ability to purchase directly from John Deere, equipment owners and independent repair shops will have expanded access to Customer Public Service ADVISOR, in addition to existing access to replacement parts to complete needed repairs.

John Deere owners also have the option to visit a dealership, work with an independent repair shop, or self-repair their machines according to their preferences. John Deere strives to ensure every customer is provided the best ownership experience, especially when it comes to maintaining and repairing their equipment, so they can minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
